God first.

We believe discipleship belongs in the everyday, not just the sanctuary.

In a world where many feel isolated, disconnected, and uncertain of their purpose, Imperium is bridging the gap between faith and everyday life. Through community, fitness, discipleship, and authentic relationships, we are creating opportunities for people to experience faith beyond four walls - where belief becomes action, connection becomes family, and transformation becomes possible.

At its heart, Imperium is about holistic transformation—spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially. We are passionate about raising up people who live boldly in faith, walk with discipline, love deeply, and pursue their God-given purpose with courage. From weekly gatherings and shared challenges to future training grounds of faith across Aotearoa, our vision is to see lives transformed, communities united, and revival awakened through real-world encounters with Jesus.

More than an organisation. More than an event. More than a fitness community. It's a movement of ordinary people choosing to pursue Jesus wholeheartedly, and inviting others to do the same.

Imperium is a registered charitable trust in New Zealand, committed to stewarding every donation with integrity, transparency, and accountability as we work towards our vision of seeing lives transformed through Jesus. In partnership with Dan Mazenberg (Christian Savings), Aimee Mai (Wilberforce Foundation), and Parry Field Law.

So what do we believe?

We believe we aren’t just called to believe in Jesus, but to ‘follow’ Jesus which requires obedience and obedience requires discipline and community. Through this we have the opportunity to step into the promises of God and be the best version of us for His Kingdom works.

BOLD FAITH IN ACTION

We believe faith was never meant to be hidden. Following Jesus is a daily pursuit lived out with courage, conviction, and obedience - both inside and outside the church. We are committed to being a visible expression of God's love, truth, and hope in the world around us.

DISCIPLINE THAT LEADS TO GROWTH

We believe growth requires intentionality. By embracing discipline, challenge, and accountability, we pursue transformation of spirit, body, and mind. Through faith, fitness, and community, we strive to become the people God has called us to be.

COMMUNITY & TRANSFORMATION

We believe nobody was created to do life alone. Imperium exists to foster genuine belonging, where people are seen, valued, encouraged, and challenged. As lives are transformed by Jesus, we believe communities are strengthened, faith is renewed, and revival becomes possible.

The evolution of Imperium.

/ 2019

Imperium emerged from a passion for optimizing health and strength.

Armed with a Physiotherapy Degree and a wealth of research knowledge, founder Bradden Hurn began crafting workout plans on Microsoft Word. These plans weren't just about building muscle; they were meticulously designed to enhance strength, hypertrophy, and safeguard against injury. And they were free - until one person saw their true value and insisted on paying $150. That single act of validation ignited a fire within.

/ 2022

Bradden received what he believed to be a divine vision from God.

This vision showed Imperium as more than just a business - it was to become a ministry. This revelation inspired him to create a space where individuals could not only focus on physical fitness but also engage in discussions, learning, and deepening their relationship with God.

/ 2023

A pause, a redirect, and new skills.

Recognizing his limitations in scaling the business further, Bradden hit a plateau and sought guidance. This led to a year-long stint in a Digital Marketing Business, where he gained invaluable skills, essential for overcoming obstacles

/ 2024

Imperium 2.0 comes to life.

Feeling a spiritual calling, Bradden heard God telling him to quit his job, so he made the difficult decision to leave the digital marketing agency. Led purely by faith and uncertain of the next steps, Bradden put all his trust in the Lord and dedicated fully to the revitalization of Imperium 2.0. Presently, the main focus is on rebuilding Imperium, guided by faith and a renewed sense of purpose.

/ 2025

A year of growth and break through.

Imperium has continued to witness, salvations and baptisms, with lives being transformed through encounters with Jesus. Leaders have risen up, taken ownership, and are growing in boldness and maturity. Events have multiplied, expanding in to cities across New Zealand carrying the vision further. A year of milestones as Imperium endeavours to become an official charitable trust - establishing solid foundations for ministry to grow and serve long-term. 2025 has been a season of expansion, maturity and fruitfulness.

/ 2026

Officially a registered charity.

Imperium officially became a registered charitable trust in New Zealand and established a Board of Directors to help steward the vision with integrity, transparency, and accountability. This significant milestone was achieved in partnership with Dan Mazenberg (Christian Savings), Aimee Mai (Wilberforce Foundation), and Parry Field Lawyers, helping lay the foundations for the next chapter of growth and impact.

Meet our founder
Bradden Hurn

Growing up with an incredible Christian mum, Bradden had heard the name of Jesus from a young age. However, after witnessing certain things in life, he quickly grew to despise the idea that there could be a God. Years of rebellion and chasing the highs of the world eventually led him to realise that path only left him feeling increasingly empty.

As time went on, Bradden found himself trapped in various addictions, including illegal substances, and caught in toxic, unhealthy relationships. Eventually, he reached a point where he was ready to end his life. Then, in 2019, everything changed. After hearing an audible voice call his name - “Bradden” - he spun around and witnessed Jesus appearing in a cloud on his ceiling for approximately ten seconds. From that moment on, he could no longer deny that Jesus was real.

Over the following years, God began placing Bradden in situations that required surrender. He stepped away from old friendships, spent extended periods in isolation with God, and removed himself from habits that had once defined his life, including partying and drinking. During this season, he felt God calling him to quit his job and place his full trust in Him.

As Bradden let go of the identities he had built his life around - including his physique, his pursuit of money, and the image he held of himself - his old life slowly began to die away. In choosing to trust God, he experienced a joy, peace, and freedom in his spirit that he says cannot be explained. Through God's grace, every addiction he had been a slave to was broken.

As he continued to challenge himself to seek God wholeheartedly, God gave him a new heart, a new understanding, a new perspective on life, a purpose through Imperium, and friendships that drew him closer to Jesus. Throughout every season, God remained faithful - providing, protecting, and guiding him through storms he could never have endured in his own strength. Along the way, Bradden witnessed healings, miracles, and encounters that he still cannot fully explain. The old version of Bradden passed away.

He was born again into a new life in Christ Jesus.
